Americans Abroad Midweek Preview: Adams, Reynolds, and more

AFC Bournemouth remains well in the hunt for a UEFA Champions League berth next season but Andoni Iraola’s men know there cannot be any slip-ups over their final two matches.

Tyler Adams and his Cherries teammates will next welcome recently-crowned FA Cup winners Manchester City to the Vitality Stadium on Tuesday. Adams has started just one of his last five appearances since returning from injury, but remains a key figure in Iraola’s squad.

The 27-year-old could be called on from the start, especially with the Cherries seeking to dictate the tempo against the Citizens. Bournemouth current sit in sixth place but know a pair of wins in its final two matches will move them as high as fifth by season’s end.

Adams scored in the reverse fixture back in November and will hoping to add to his goal total in a crucial contest this week.

Elsewhere, Bryan Reynolds and Westerlo continue Belgian League play against Marlon Fossey and Standard Liege.
