Medina, Beaudry, Burton headline USMNT U-17 camp roster

The U.S. Under-17 men’s national team’s final preparations ahead of this Fall’s FIFA U-17 World Cup continue with a trip to Brazil this October.

Cruz Medina, Adam Beaudry, and Micah Burton headlined Gonzalo Segares’ 20-player training camp roster for upcoming friendly matches against Brazil. The USMNT U-17’s camp will run from Sept. 29-Oct. 8 in Sorocaba, Brazil, with matches coming up on Oct. 4 and 6.

A total of nine players return from the USMNT U-17’s World Cup qualifying campaign earlier this year. Defenders Andrew Baiera, Luca Bombino and Shakir Nixon and midfielders Matthew Corcoran, Diego Garcia and Adyn Torres are all making their first U-17 appearances of the cycle.

Defenders Christian Diaz and Tyler Hall, midfielder Cruz Medina, forwards Micah Burton, Brian Romero and Ezekiel Soto have been named to nine of the 11 camps in the current cycle.

The USMNT U-17’s will kick off World Cup group stage play on Nov. 12 against Korea Republic before also taking on Burkina Faso and France in Group E play.
