Crystal Palace enjoyed a 13-day winter break in England this month but now return to FA Cup on Wednesday with a tricky trip to Merseyside.

Chris Richards and his teammates face off against Everton, knowing a victory over the Toffees guarantees them a home fourth round match later this month. Richards has enjoyed a sparkling run of form in Roy Hodgson’s squad, registering eight-consecutive starts across all competitions. The central defender has moved into a defensive midfield role for the Eagles, which has certainly helped him rack up 630 minutes of play since December 3.

Crystal Palace’s last head-to-head win over Everton came in the 2022 FA Cup quarterfinals and the Eagles will hoping for similar success this time around.

In Italy, Weston McKennie, Tim Weah and Juventus continue Serie A play against Sassuolo.
